Consider that many expressions we commonly use come from the ordinary deck of playing cards. People often say “it’s just not in the cards for me.” Or we talk about needing to “play our cards right.”
Sometimes we say that we need to “learn to play the hand we’ve been dealt.” Other times people say that they don’t want to “get lost in the shuffle.” And then we ask: “what’s the deal anyway?”
If you want answers to these questions, if you want to find your way in life, if you want direction and spiritual support, then you may benefit immensely from a card reading.
An Original Book of Knowledge
The ordinary deck of playing cards is actually a book of wisdom. The cards represent 52 archetypes or symbols of consciousness (plus the Joker). These patterns are played out in this lifetime in these three dimensions of reality. The number 52, you may realize is the number of weeks in a year. Adding 5 + 2 = 7. So, the number 52 reduces to the number 7. There are 7 days / week.
If you add all the values of the cards together — Kings are worth 13, Queens 12, and Jacks 11 — then you get the 4 suits multiplied by (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13) = 364. All of the cards of all 4 suits add up to 364. There are 365 1/4 days each year. And, the Joker is the anomoly that makes up the remainder. The Joker is worth 1 1/4 or ‘himself plus all 4 suits.’
The ordinary deck of playing cards is not so ordinary. It represents a tool kit to understand each and every day of the year as well as a tool kit to understand every pattern of consciousness that plays out on this plane of existence. No-one knows the origins of this deck of cards. But they have survived for centuries as playing cards. And the Tarot cards of the Middle Ages are derived from and based on this deck of cards.
Play Your Cards Right
From these cards, based just on numbers, just on mathematics, I can determine for you what is your key to abundance in this lifetime, what is your lifetime challenge, who are you compatible with, what kind of relationship patterns can you expect with other people in your life, what’s in the cards for you in terms of those relationships.
I can also tell you what your shadow side looks like, based again purely on the mathematics of these cards. Which is immensely helpful because, being our shadow, we don’t see it clearly, because it’s our shadow.
Now, when we do a reading, I will quite literally be putting the cards on the table for you. Which is why we have that expression: “Just put the cards on the table man. Just put ’em on the table!” That’s where it comes from.
